FIONA
Female
Age: 36

PRIMARY COMPLAINT: Back pain, numbness in legs, instability, lack
of strength, reoccurring injury.

PREVIOUS TREATMENT:  Multiple surgeries, physical therapy,
hospital-supervised pain management clinic and therapy.

RESULTS ACTIVATION MECHANICS: After two sessions the
numbness in Fiona’s legs was gone.  After an additional eight
sessions her back pain was intermittent with days at a time with no
pain at all.  Fiona is now exercising on her own, feels great and comes
in for a tune-up every ten weeks.

JACK
Male
Age: 37

PRIMARY COMPLAINT: Left knee pain.

PREVIOUS/CURRENT TREATMENT:  ACL repair to the right knee,
left hip replacement, physical therapy, chiropractic, Active Release
Technique, acupuncture, massage.

RESULTS ACTIVATION MECHANICS: It took one session for Jack’s
knee pain to go away.  After six sessions that included body work as
well as a variety of graded exercises specifically designed to target the
muscles that had poor communication, Jack was feeling better than he
had since before the skiing incident.  Jack’s sessions were spaced
one week apart for seven weeks and two sessions at one month with
three-month maintenance visits to follow.

Throughout the course of the treatment process Jack slowly altered
his exercise habits and no longer trains six days a week to failure.  He
has adjusted his workouts so he is doing less and seeing more gains.
He has a new found respect for working within his body’s limits and
continues to systematically challenge himself slowly to encourage
incremental increases in his body’s ability to tolerate the forces
associated with movement and exercise.  He is no longer “over
training” and is currently injury free.

ELLEN
Female
Age: 48

PRIMARY COMPLAINT: Constant pain, light tingling to severe burning
sensation in arms and hands.

PREVIOUS/CURRENT TREATMENT:  Spinal fusion, lamonectomy,
spine specialists, hospital sponsored pain clinics, fibromyalgia
specialist, neurologists, physical therapy, acupuncture, chiropractic.

RESULTS ACTIVATION MECHANICS: After twelve sessions Ellen’s
pain level was significantly reduced and she began to experience days
of no pain at all.   She no longer has the tingling and burning pain in
her arms and hands.  We meet once a month for MAT and exercise
sessions and she does exercises at home on her own to maintain the
strength in her back.  She walks, does very gentle Yoga and
participates in activities that in the past would “wear her out” for days
and sometimes weeks.   She has lost fifteen pounds and feels much
improved.  By dealing with the muscular dysfunction in her system, her
body has a more conducive environment for healing.
